Global Warming Extremism Out of Control
The idea of changing everyone’s lives for the sake of a cause that may or may not be our fault is absurd. Forcing the American people to drive less, eat less, and buy CFL light bulbs is simply not going to solve the problem.
However Toni Vernelli, a British global warming fanatic, thinks that we should take a different course of action to save our planet.
Stop reproducing.
Yup, Toni terminated her pregnancy and got sterilized to make sure she never had a kid. There’s nothing wrong with her doing that personally, if she wants to focus her life elsewhere and “save the planet” she’s more than welcomed to. However it gets to be a problem when you indict the rest of the world because they’re not following in suit.
“Having children is selfish. It’s all about maintaining your genetic line at the expense of the planet,” Toni says. Take note all you birth giving bastards, you’re sinking our planet.
Having children is not selfish, it’s what we’re on this earth to do. And it’s not at the expense of the planet. The planet is here to sustain our lives, if we sees to have children, there won’t be any more use for the planet, thus no reason to ‘save’ it.
To put it simply Toni wants to end all mankind because, according to her, that’s the only way to stop global warming and save our planet. That’s not logical, that would be like saying, ‘I want to save that Burger King from being robbed so I’m going to build a huge cement wall around it.’ Well that’s great but now no one can eat there, rendering it useless.
Toni goes on to explain herself, kind of.
“Every person who is born uses more food, more water, more land, more fossil fuels, more trees and produces more rubbish, more pollution, more greenhouse gases, and adds to the problem of over-population.”
She fails to realize that the earth was created to sustain the use of water (which is virtually indispensable thanks to the water cycle) and land and fossil fuels and trees, etc. Considering the fact that the world was created to have life on it, it was also designed to survive when humans use its resources.
And to touch on the overpopulation point, we’re not overpopulating. To prove my point take a drive on the Ohio Turnpike or in Montana. There’s plenty of land all over the world to sustain much more life.
“Through my job I made many friends who, like me, were more interested in campaigning, trying to change society and save the planet rather than having families of our own,” Toni said.
That’s great, you’re allowed to not have children if you so please, for whatever reason you like. The problem I have with Toni is her ‘holier than thou’ mentality. Just because she’s “saving the planet” by not having children, she believes she’s right and everyone else should follow in her genius.
No so much.
People should be allowed to have children, it’s not a selfish act it’s what sex is for. (By the way in the article it points out that Toni took the pill, meaning she continued to have sex without the whole kid thing). It’s no mistake that there are people living on this earth, that’s what it’s here for. So it doesn’t make sense to save it by stopping mankind.
Because if that’s the case. I think I might just pick up one of those light bulbs.
